Bernard H. Guiot M.D., F.R.C.S.C.

Dr. Guiot received his M.D. from the University of Ottawa School of Medicine, Canada in 1989. His postgraduate training in Neurological Surgery was completed at the University of Ottawa, Canada in 1996. He then completed several fellowships including an Adult Neurosurgery Fellowship at the University of Ottawa Division of Neurosurgery, Reconstructive Spinal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Florida Department of Neurosurgery, and a Spinal Deformity Fellowship at the McGill University Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has also participated in several research studies. Dr. Guiot practiced in academic instruction for the first ten years of his career, and subsequently transitioned to private practice. 

Dr. Guiot has provided course directorship, and served as course faculty for the US and abroad. He has received numerous awards, grants and scholarships, including the McKenzie Training Research Award, Certificate of Teaching Excellence, UF Biomedical Engineering Award, Whitaker Foundation Grant, and the Principal Investigator Research Grant. Dr. Guiot is a highly published author in peer-reviewed medical journals, collaborative chapters, and has presented both abstracts and posters to numerous prestigious organizations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Spine, Science, and Management. 

Dr. Guiot employs surgical treatments to address the symptoms that can arise. He consistently develops and applies novel methods to treat the patients needs.
